Travel Summer 2025 with IFYE

Submitted by Deryl Waldren

Travel with IFYE is still possible for the summer of 2025. The Association of IFYE USA, Inc., in partnership with Kansas 4-H Youth Development International Exchange Programs, announces details of the summer 2025 IFYE exchange program. Founded in 1948 as the International Farm Youth Exchange (also formerly International Four-H Youth Exchange), this globally recognized initiative provides young adults aged 19-26 with the opportunity to immerse themselves in diverse cultures, gain leadership skills, and foster international understanding through host family stays around the world.

For decades, IFYE has been dedicated to promoting cross-cultural experiences that equip participants with invaluable life skills and a global perspective. In 2025, the program will continue its mission by sending participants to various countries, where they will live with host families and engage in daily life, gaining firsthand knowledge of different customs, traditions, and agricultural practices.

“The IFYE program is a unique and transformative experience that broadens perspectives, builds lifelong friendships, and cultivates a deeper appreciation for global interconnectedness,” said Carolyn Hansen, President of IFYE USA. “We are excited to welcome the next cohort of young adults who are eager to explore, learn, and share their own culture while embracing others.”
Applicants may still apply for summer 2025 for this immersive exchange experience. IFYE participants return home with enhanced communication skills, adaptability, and a greater sense of global citizenship, making them strong candidates for future leadership roles in various industries.

Applications must be completed on the IFYE website, www.ifyeusa.org by May 1, 2025. The program dates are from June 11 to August 25, 2025.
