The annual National 4-H Congress trip for Kansas Award winners is a recognition, educational, cultural, and community service experience held November 27-December 1, 2026 in Atlanta, GA.
The registration cost is $3,000.00. This includes Congress registration, hotel, most meals, airfare, and miscellaneous program costs. Additional cost information is provided below.
The Kansas 4-H delegation is comprised of three types of delegates:
State 4-H Project Award Winners
Selected on the basis of their performance in project award competition. The State 4-H Office offers these youth, who have not previously attended Congress, and/or qualified alternates, the opportunity to attend. Selected individuals will be sent a link to complete an acceptance form.
The Kansas 4-H Foundation will provide a very generous $1,500.00 scholarship for each State Project Award Winner. We are so grateful for their financial support to recognize our State Project Award winners at both Emerald Circle and National 4-H Congress.
The total balance delegates are responsible for is $1,500. Additionally, delegates will need personal spending money for snacks and souvenirs while on the trip. To secure your attendance, a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due September 1, 2026.
The remaining $1,000.00 balance will need to be paid no later than October 15, 2026.
Key Award Delegates
Represent Kansas 4-H Key Award winners from the previous 4-H year who have been nominated by their Extension Unit in the current year using the following Kansas 4-H nomination guidelines, no later than June 13. Seven youth are randomly drawn by the State 4-H Office and are offered the opportunity to attend. Selected youth will be sent a link to complete an acceptance form.

Centennial Delegates
Represent an at-large delegate who has been nominated by their Extension Unit to attend Congress. The selection criteria process is up to each local Extension Unit but to be eligible, youth must meet the following Kansas 4-H nomination guidelines . Participating Extension Units will need to notify the State 4-H Office no later than June 13.
Cost for Centennial Delegates is the full amount; no registration grant is offered. Delegates must pay a non-refundable $500 deposit no later than September 1, 2026 which will be applied to the delegate’s total registration fee.
The remaining $2,500 is due no later than October 15, 2026.
